Farymann Model 43F with Polar Model 6250 Alternator
Strictly military applications.
Farymann Model 43F with Polar Model 6250 Alternator
With the higher efficiency of the Model 6250 alternator we are able to achieve 8 kW of power at 28 Vdc and meet Military specifications for power quality. Polar’s efficient alternator also allows us to either produce 8 kW at full engine RPM or drop the engine RPM to reduce noise and maintenance at power levels of 5 to 6 kW.
The Farymann Model 43F engine provides three distinct advantages, a very low height of approximately 16″ (406 mm), the ability to start with a hand crank, and the engine is well supported in most militaries.
The disadvantages of this engine when compared to a two cylinder fluid cooled Lombardini engine are: higher vibration, louder noise, greater difficulty (thermally) to package into an enclosure, and higher cost.
